About Louise Selby
Louise began her teaching career in 1996 as a class teacher in the primary sector (age 7 – 11) before developing an interest in special educational needs. She then worked as learning support teacher, Special Educational Needs Coordinator and also as a teacher of learners with English as an Additional Language in local authority schools in Hertfordshire, UK. During this time, Louise completed training in specific learning difficulties, developing a specific interest in dyslexia. She then worked as a specialist advisory teacher in Hertfordshire Local Authority, UK, for 11 years, where she gained extensive experience in supporting schools, training teachers, teaching assistants and school leaders in meeting the needs of learners with specific learning difficulties. Louise now works freelance in advising, training and supporting schools and local groups, as well as assessing children for specific learning difficulties (dyslexia). Her interest is in enabling and equipping staff in schools at grass roots level to meet learners’ needs. Louise’s book and intervention, Morph Mastery, was published in July 2021.
